i tried structure synth but it looked like too much of a longterm project before i could get anything cool from it...i'm not good with numbers!.. Surprised your lappy struggles with UF in comparison to MB3D , some formulas are a bit slow but in general its ok..and it has the added bonus of being able to stop and start again mid render which i love as it means you can stop a render do a different task and then restart the render from where it left off. So long as you have a high end graphic card Fragmentarium should run fine so get a custom built or add on a good card when you get a new machine
I often wish I could pause renders in M3D - sometimes I end up just quitting and starting again later. I do plan on spending a fair amount of money so hopefully I'll be well enough equipped. Thanks for the tips!
I'm not sure about more but a higher end nvidia gaming/graphics card should be super fast and you can also overclock it to get it running as fast as possible..render time for a 5mb jpeg with reflections, hard shadows and the rest takes around 100 seconds max on my card and it's not even all that good so render times become almost meaningless
you're welcome, & I didn't mean the 3D orientation, I meant the way those two holes overlap to form a 'soap bubble' like profile. Well, I know it's unavoidable, but conceptually that'd make sense isn't it?
I'd agree with that 'little imperfect=> perfect' if the imperfection was strategically planned for any design, but being a firm believer in 'Order before chaos' I always tend to look for perfection before I can appreciate deviation from it. But, it's an awesome fractal none the less.
